I have been recording with Andy for the past 11 years. When I come into the studio to record, I always leave with something that sounds so much better than I could’ve ever imagined. Andy has a way of hearing your ideas, but also using his own creativity and experience to make everything feel and sound so much better. After recording three full length records and an EP, I’ve been honored to be in the studio enough with Andy to know that he is brilliant, incredibly talented at what he does, and ultimately someone you want on your side. Also, as a father of three young children, a day in the studio is like a vacation. Not only am I blessed to be able to work with Andy as a producer and engineer, but I am so thankful to be able to call him a friend. He is an amazing human being, and goes the extra mile like no one else does.

My son and I had a musical project called The Raining Frogs and we worked with Andy. I also recorded a couple of EPs with Reed Recording Company. Andy brought knowledge and friendship to the music that we recorded with him. Briefly, an example, for me was during recording with my son. I had been involved in a serious car accident and could only move with a walker. Anybody who has been to the basement studio knows of the entrance. Much like entering a storm cellar! Andy added a rail to the basement steps through his home upstairs and I made my way to the studio. Always thankful.

Andy mastered two projects for me, the compilation "Lost Hits Of The '80's, Volume 2" and The Bradburys' "Everywhere It's Christmastime." Both were digital recordings which Andy magically made sound warm & analog. He's part of the Vandalay Records team now.

My first recording experience was with Andy. He created an environment that was fun and focused on creativity. He was willing to try whatever ideas you’d have regardless of if you knew the lingo or not. He also has a gift for navigating personalities in the room and getting the most out of each time together. I appreciate the time I was able to spend there and I hope I can record again with Andy in the future.

Andy Reed is the real deal. Adaboy! has been working with RRC for several years and every time we finish an EP or Ablum it just keeps sounding better. What I love about Andy is that he’s a gear head, you know that he’s going to have the toys and he’s a pretty nice guy too. Thanks for the great album!!
